Sunvou visits Prof. Arzu Yorgancioglu, Chairman of GINA

"Sunvou's FeNO Home Test will be used in Home-Monitoring Study by Global Asthma Leader Professor Yorgancioglu"

On June 13, 2024, Professor Arzu Yorgancioglu—member of the first Global Steering Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Alliance for Chronic Respiratory Diseases (GARD), Chairman of the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), and Chairman of the Promotion Committee of the European Respiratory Society (ERS)—met with Mr. Xu Jie, Deputy General Manager of Sunvou Medical, at her European office. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss developments in respiratory diagnostics and the potential role of innovative technologies in improving the management of chronic respiratory diseases.

During the discussion, Professor Yorgancioglu emphasized the innovative and groundbreaking nature of Sunvou Medical’s FeNO home self-test product. She pointed out that the product addresses a critical gap in biomarker-based self-testing for chronic respiratory diseases, offering a new approach that could significantly enhance patient engagement and disease monitoring. According to her assessment, the introduction of such a solution represents an important advancement in the field of respiratory care.

Professor Yorgancioglu compared the significance of this innovation with earlier breakthroughs in the management of other chronic conditions. She referred to the widespread adoption of home self-testing tools for diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, noting that these technologies have played a crucial role in improving disease control, patient awareness, and long-term health outcomes. In a similar way, she suggested that biomarker-based self-testing for respiratory diseases could transform how patients and clinicians monitor and manage these conditions.

Praising the epoch-making significance of Sunvou Medical’s development, Professor Yorgancioglu also highlighted that international organizations such as GINA and GOLD have long advocated for progress in this area. She expressed her strong support for the cooperation discussed during the meeting and concluded with an encouraging message, stating, “Let’s make history together.”
